On-ground and Online Classes at Ft. Riley

With programs offered on-ground at Ft. Riley and completely online in 6-week sessions, our programs are military and deployment-friendly. Southwestern College Professional Studies accepts up to 64 credit hours from your JST transcripts, as well as CLEP/DSST (DANTES) and other accredited, institutional work. As a Top Military Friendly college, Southwestern College Professional Studies offers a progressive transfer policy to make sure credit is given where due! In addition, we offer a military tuition discount available to all Active duty and their spouses, Guard, Reserve, and DoD Civilians.

2012 NAIMES Student Spotlight Award

The NAIMES Student Spotlight Award is an opportunity for military learners to demonstrate their academic achievement to the military and civilian educational community through an exploration of how the academic experience has influenced their military career. Award winners will receive a $1,200 cash prize, plus travel expenses (up to $500) to accept the award.

Learners who are currently enrolled in a class at Professional Studies can utilize the Writing Lab in Blackboard for help with the essay for this award. Simply write your essay and then submit it to the Writing Lab for review.
