Coast Guard Programs

As a member of the Coast Guard, you are able to begin or continue your dream of achieving a college degree through the assistance of the Voluntary Education (VE) staff. Along with your local Education Services Officer (ESO), they can provide you with advice on how to start your college career.
To begin, you may wish to visit the Getting Started section of the Coast Guard’s website. You will find information on all of the VE services and how to use them to begin planning your college career. In addition, don’t hesitate to contact us should you need to speak to one of our admissions or financial aid counselors. Whether you’re continuing or returning to school, Southwestern College Professional Studies offers a college education on your terms.
The Coast Guard offers 100% tuition assistance (up to $250 per semester hour) for active duty personnel, selected Reservists and civilian employees. Tuition will not exceed $4,500 per fiscal year.
