“Professional Studies has a long history of working with the active duty and retired military. We have about half of our students right now showing in the military. This means that we understand what it means to be deployed and that sometimes you have events that happen in your life that can’t be controlled. Our Professors work with you to manage those unexpected events. We also offer different kinds of services. We have, certainly through our financial aid and tuition assistance, programs and opportunities for you to attend Professional Studies, but at the rate that you are reimbursed by the military.”
What is most important to Southwestern College Professional Studies’ military learners? Flexibility! Southwestern College’s 6-week online classes have no proctored exams allowing you to learn anywhere…anytime. Uncertain about deployments or need to take some time off from studies? Southwestern College Professional Studies allows learners to “stop-out” a session or two so that completing a degree is on your schedule…not the college’s schedule. In fact, you can just notify your Academic Success Coach or any of our staff members of your military obligations that require you to temporarily “stop out” of your degree program. We’ll help you pick back up when you return.
Southwestern College Professional Studies has been approved to continue participating in the Military Tuition Assistance (TA) program and has a signed a Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the DoD located on the Dod web site at www.dodmou.com.
