Ministry Fellows
Graduate Studies Ministry Fellows
Program Overview
If you are looking for a place to “do” ministry and work on a master’s degree at the same time, this program is for you.
Historically, most college graduate students, thinking about serving Christ in a full-time way were only given the option of attending a university or seminary with some opportunity for an internship or practicum. Today we are offering you a different model where you apply to a ministry setting and take the graduate coursework online.
The Institute works with the following ministry locations:
- Camps and Retreats
- Campus ministries
- Youth ministries
- Missions (Urban, Rural; US and Non-US)
You will be provided the opportunity to complete one of two master’s degrees from Southwestern College’s Professional Studies. Classes are taught in 6 week, online sessions. This will give you the opportunity to bring real-life applications into your studies, and to interact with students in a wide variety of places.
Benefits:
- Experience a year or two adventure in a vibrant ministry setting
- Live in a community of persons serving Christ and growing in faith
- Nurture your call and explore future directions
- Complete a master’s degree in a very cost effective way
- Build ministry skills and theological understanding in an integrated way.
