Earning your degree is a life-altering event, and a decision you should not take lightly. At Southwestern College Professional Studies we work solely with adult learners, so we understand where you are coming from and we strive to remove barriers so you can make your educational goals a reality.Adults have many different avenues to attaining college credits, which is why we want to give you credit where credit is due. We are very liberal in our transfer policy, which you will see below. We want you to gain new knowledge and understanding, not repeating a course because you didn’t have the “right” class previously.
Sometimes transferring to a new school can be confusing, so from the very beginning you will work with an Academic Success Coach to help guide and support you clear through to graduation. Whether taking classes online, on ground, or both, we are here to support you.
Below are some helpful links that you may find useful as you begin the transfer process.
Transferring from Another College
We will accept up to 64 credit hours from any accredited two-year institution or technical school, and all credits from any accredited four-year institution, into any of our bachelor’s degree programs. It doesn’t matter if the courses were taken two years ago or twenty years ago – we will accept them.
To make the transition easier, we have also formed 2 + 2 partnerships with community colleges in Kansas and Oklahoma. Click here to learn more about specific 2 + 2 agreements.
You can request a free transcript evaluation to see how your college coursework, and any CLEP & DANTES testing you have completed, will transfer into one of our bachelor’s degree programs.
Transferring Military Training
A number of our learners are affiliated with the military, many of whom transfer in their military training and experience as credits into our bachelor’s degree programs. We will accept up to 64 credit hours from ACE approved CCAF, AARTS, SMARTS, and USCGI transcripts, excluding duplicate credits and vocational hours.
You can request a free military transcript evaluation to see how your military training, in addition to any other college coursework or CLEP & DANTES testing you have completed, will transfer into one of our bachelor’s degree programs.
